ORRIS was founded in Paris by Kenneth Koo and Lani Le Berre. They had a vision to elevate a simple bar of soap into a luxurious and sensorial cleansing experience. Made with the highest quality plant derived ingredients, ORRIS products are designed to appeal to the senses: sight, smell, and touch.
Unable to find existing products on the market that were at once effective, enjoyable to use, and gentle enough for sensitive skin, Kenneth began making bar soaps for himself and friends. He began experimenting with powerful botanical ingredients inspired by rich histories of holistic practices, such as herbalism, Ayurveda, and Japanese cleansing rituals.
ORRIS was born out of a long friendship and our combined passion for skincare and appreciation for French savoir-faire.
Production
ORRIS artisanal botanical soaps are handcrafted in small batches in the South of France. Each Cold Process soap is hand-poured and hand-cut, using the finest oils, butters, and botanicals.
The sustainably-sourced and luxurious soap base includes Shea Butter, Olive Oil, Cocoa Butter, Coconut Oil, and Castor Oil, all of which work in harmony to nourish and cleanse without stripping the skin.
The fragrant bases and accords are derived solely from natural essences, distilled from plant matter from all over the world — Nature’s own perfumery. ORRIS have developed each distinct fragrance in-house to evoke the persona associated with each soap.
All ORRIS products are free of sulfates, parabens, and synthetic fragrances or colorants; they contain no Animal Fats or Palm Oil. Cruelty free.
