Plastic Free July is a global movement that helps millions of people be part of the solution to plastic pollution – so we can have cleaner streets, oceans, and beautiful communities.
Doing every day things like using reusable coffee cups, shopping bags and straws make a huge difference however, when it comes to bathrooms we tend to use a lot more plastic and disposable items without really noticing.
Here are some tips to making your bathroom more eco-freindly and reducing unnecesary waste in one of the most important rooms of the house.
1. Bar Soap
Convenience has become a contributing factor to the popularity of liquid soap however bar soaps are making a comeback with brands like Fazeek and Skandinavisk. They've turned the old bar soap into a thing of beauty and used natural ingrediants to make an enviromentally friendly product smell and feel amazing on your skin.

2. Exfoliating
Swapping out plastic sponges and body exfoliators for wooden brushes is a great way to reduce waste. Our Andree Jardin brushes are hand-made in France and are more anti-bacterial and long-lasting than the plastic alternatives. Check out our guide to dry-brushing here.

3. Soap dispensers
Buying a new liquid soap in a plastic container can be quite wasteful- especially if you're replacing them often. Using a soap dispenser in your bathroom or kitchen, allows you to purchase large refills so you can reuse your container instead.

4. Glass diffusers
Scent diffusers are a popular choice for adding fragrance to a bathroom that is longer-lasting than a candle. Using a glass diffuser like the Escapes collection by Skandinavisk gives you a beauitful vessel to then use as a vase after the fragrance runs out.
